Role Summary
As Sr. Manager Embedded Systems, you will be closely working with multiple stakeholders and execute key partnerships to help Yuma grow the infrastructure network. You will be involved in identifying key stakeholders, developing and implementing a strategy for engagement, maintaining connections, and building these into effective working partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development products in EV domain like Vehicle Chargers, Battery Management System (BMS), Battery Swap Station, Telematics and Vehicle Control Systems.
- Analyze and understand Vehicle level Hardware architecture.
- Collaborate with mechanical team, layout, and firmware engineers to successfully develop and validate the hardware designs.
- Active Participation in Design improvement meetups.
- Work along with PCB manufacturers and assembly houses to test the Hardware and find the Root Cause for Design failures.
- Proven track record of leadership in managing embedded systems teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong technical expertise in embedded software and hardware design, including microcontrollers, sensors, communication protocols, and real-time operating systems.
- Experience with embedded software development tools, programming languages (C/C++, Python), and software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
- Familiarity with automotive safety standards (ISO 26262), and functional safety concepts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Requirements
- Qualification: BE/ B. Tech or ME/M. Tech in EC/EE or related field.
- Must have 7+ Years of work experience on design and development products in EV domain like Vehicle Chargers, Battery Management System (BMS), Telematics and Vehicle Control Systems.
- Strong knowledge in designing & developing the software for power electronics devices.
- Strong domain knowledge in Power Circuit design, Analog and Digital design.
- Must have executed at least 3 products from start to production at scale.
- Strong domain knowledge of interfacing wireless communication module like GSM, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi.
- Strong knowledge of interfacing of sensors and actuators using industrial protocols like CAN, RS485, RS232 etc
- Experience with Simulation tools like PSPICE, LTSPICE is good to have.
- Experience in protocol and standards like AUTOSAR, UDS, Diagnostics and OCPP is plus.
- Hands-on experience and strong knowledge of EMI/EMC standards, Surge, ESD and environmental compliances.
- Candidates familiar with manufacturing processes and have experience working with PCB manufacturers and assembly houses is plus.
