Dover is in the midst of large digital transformation and we operate Dover Digital labs in Bengaluru, India. At Digital labs, we design, develop and manage software for Operating companies for a variety of engineering products manufactured in Dover. The software products operate in IOT, SaaS based eCommerce frameworks, Data Science & Analytics services and Connected products. The products enable operating companies to design and implement unique solutions via AI/ML, mobile, edge, blockchain and hybrid cloud computing technologies, and deliver exceptional experience by incorporating some of the world’s most advanced technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities: Senior Devops Engineer

Location: Bangalore-Whitefield-Prestige Technostar



1: Cloud Platform Expertise: Leverage AWS services for infrastructure management, application deployment, and data storage. Demonstrate proficiency in AWS tools and best practices for DevOps (Equivalent to AWS DevOps certification)

2: CI/CD Implementation: Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes. Ensure continuous integration and delivery of applications with a focus on speed, reliability, and repeatability. Container Orchestration: Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for scalable and portable application deployments.

3: Manage and deploy applications using Helm charts, Customization manifests ensuring consistency and ease of deployment.

4: Infrastructure Automation: Develop and maintain automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform. Leverage shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

5: Git Ops Practices: Implement Git Ops methodologies to manage and synchronize infrastructure and application configurations using version-controlled repositories. Collaborate with development teams to enforce best practices for version control, branching, and code review.


Must have Skills:

1: Strong understanding of AWS Services, architecture, and best practices. Strong background in scripting, automation, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code practices (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Cross plane, Pulumi etc.) Strong knowledge on Unix based operating systems & workload management and networking systems.

2: In-depth knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Familiarity with GitOps practices and Helm charts and Customization. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

3: At least 6 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on the below-mentioned technologies: Proficiency in shell scripting, especially Bash or PowerShell. Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (Git). AWS DevOps Engineer certification or equivalent is required.

4: Experience with incident management and post-incident reviews. Experience with configuring, customizing, and extending monitoring tools is a plus. (Datadog, Cloud fuse, Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus etc.) AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer is a plus.
