**Job Title:** Desktop Support SpecialistAbout the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Desktop Support Specialist. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing second-level technical support for desktop/laptop hardware, software, and peripheral issues.You will work closely with the L1 support team to diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues. Your strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically will be essential in identifying recurring technical problems and developing solutions.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical support for desktop/laptop hardware, software, and peripheral issuesDiagnose and resolve advanced technical issues escalated from the L1 support teamInstall, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and system updatesPerform root cause analysis to identify recurring technical problems and develop solutionsAssist with network connectivity issues, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPNCollaborate with IT team members on projects, upgrades, and implementationsMaintain accurate records of work performed, issues, and resolutions using the company's ticketing systemProvide remote support and troubleshooting for users working from home or in the fieldTrain and mentor junior support technicians as neededEnsure compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and best practicesPerform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance of equipmentQualifications:A relevant degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience2-4 years of experience in a desktop support or similar roleStrong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systemsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applicationsExperience with Active Directory, group policies, and user account managementFamiliarity with remote desktop tools and support softwareExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamRelevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plusWe Offer:A dynamic and supportive team environmentThe opportunity to work on challenging projects and develop your skillsA competitive salary and benefits packageOngoing training and development opportunities
