Azure Solutions Data Architect

Job Overview:We are seeking an accomplished Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of end-to-end data architectures for Azure-based applications, emphasizing security, scalability, and performance.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing comprehensive data modeling strategies, ensuring high-quality, well-documented, and easily maintainable data structures.Responsibilities include collaborating with engineering, analytics, and business teams to define and enforce data governance, security standards, and architectural best practices.The successful candidate will also architect and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure-native tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics) to meet the evolving needs of the organization.A critical aspect of this role is implementing and maintaining security strategies including data encryption, access controls, and compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).The Data Architect will lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations.This role involves championing best practices in data management, metadata, and data lineage within Azure environments, driving continuous improvement and innovation.The Data Architect will mentor and guide data engineers and analysts in data architecture, security protocols, and scalable solution design.Key responsibilities also include designing an orchestration layer enabling a Graph API framework enabling front-end interaction with the backend data.The architect will own and document the end-to-end product architecture, including diagrams, capacity models, and dependencies.Close collaboration with product engineering and test teams is essential to define clear, measurable benchmarks for scalability, performance, and capacity, and validate them through rigorous testing.The Data Architect will guide, mentor, and enforce architecture principles, development standards, and best practices across design, development, and testing.Formalizing architecture design reviews and checkpoints before development and release approvals is crucial.Aligning architecture KPIs with delivery outcomes ensures the system achieves stability, high performance, and maintainability.Regularly measuring and tracking these KPIs drives continuous improvement and accountability.Taking ownership of root-cause analysis for any production or customer-impacting incidents is vital.The Data Architect will drive long-term remediation to prevent recurrence and improve system reliability.Embedding throughout the delivery lifecycle as an active part of the sprint process requires attending planning, demos, daily standups, and other sprint ceremonies.Current focus areas include designing systems to support concurrent and parallel processing for databases, implementing effective logging and telemetry strategies, and defining caching approaches.Requirements:Extensive experience in designing and implementing end-to-end data architectures for Azure-based applications.Proven expertise in developing comprehensive data modeling strategies and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines.Familiarity with Azure-native tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics).Strong understanding of security strategies, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance with data protection regulations.Experience leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives.Ability to mentor and guide data engineers and analysts in data architecture, security protocols, and scalable solution design.Excellent communication and leadership skills.What We Offer:A dynamic and collaborative work environment.Note:The description may be subject to change based on business requirements.
