This leader will excel in dynamic environments, develop both people and systems, and shape our product and engineering culture.Key Responsibilities:Lead and Grow Engineering Team: Directly manage a team of software engineers across multiple products.Foster High-Performance Culture: Establish a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and high performance within the engineering organization.Conduct Regular Performance Reviews: Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and engineer growth plans to ensure each team member is meeting their goals.Identify Hiring Needs: Collaborate with Talent/HR to identify hiring needs and drive technical hiring processes.Guide Technical Decisions: Guide architectural and technical decisions for scalable, resilient solutions that meet business objectives.Oversee Project Delivery: Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring quality and predictability through effective planning and execution.Maintain Engineering Standards: Maintain high engineering standards around code quality, testing, and documentation throughout the organization.Champion Best Practices: Champion best practices in CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, and incident management to ensure optimal system performance.Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Business teams to define roadmaps and align priorities.Communicate Project Progress: Communicate project progress, risks, and trade-offs to leadership and stakeholders effectively.Implement Scalable Processes: Implement processes that scale with the team and product growth, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.Requirements:7–12+ years of professional software engineering experience.2–5+ years leading engineering teams as an Engineering Manager or equivalent.Proven experience in fast-paced startup environments.Strong expertise in modern web technologies, cloud infrastructure, and scalable architectures.Hands-on experience with agile methodologies and efficient product delivery practices.Demonstrated success in hiring, coaching, and developing engineering teams.
