MySQL Database ArchitectWe are seeking an experienced MySQL database architect to design, develop and maintain large-scale database systems.Design and implement efficient database schemas, queries, views, triggers and stored procedures to meet the needs of high-growth applications.Optimise database performance by implementing indexing strategies, query tuning, caching and load balancing techniques.Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate MySQL into Node.js services and ensure seamless data exchange.Contribute to the development of backend services using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js and Express.js when required.Ensure data integrity, security, backups and high availability through robust database design and maintenance practices.Support system design discussions and propose scalable database solutions to drive business growth.Troubleshoot database-related issues and lead root-cause analysis efforts to resolve problems quickly.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall application performance and user experience.Requirements:3–6 years of dedicated hands-on experience with MySQL, including query writing, optimisation, schema design and performance improvements.Strong understanding of relational database concepts, normalisation, indexing strategies and execution plans.Experience working on high-scale, high-growth product-based companies is mandatory.Ability to design efficient, scalable database structures for B2C applications.Strong analytical mindset to understand why a certain approach is more optimal, not just how to implement it.Experience working in fast-paced startup environments where performance and speed matter.Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance dashboards.Experience optimising systems for speed, scalability and reliability.
