We are looking to hire an Assistant Manager Community for our business in Chennai


Position: Assistant Manager Community


Goals and Objectives

Illustrate The Executive Centre’s core values of putting our members first, going above and beyond, and striving to create a connected culture. Work alongside the respective city and centre teams strive to achieve our mission of facilitating the growth of ambitious businesses through high-end service, seamlessly operated workspaces, unparalleled insights from a global member network and experiences that elevate corporate culture to achieve the following:

  • Foster a vibrant and collaborative community atmosphere by engaging with members and connecting through events, personal introductions, and facilitating relationships and networking amongst members
  • Ensuring that centres and their communities are fully support, engaged and continually communicated with maintaining company standards and expectations
  • Contribute to the overall revenue growth of the city by recognising the direct link between client satisfaction, retention and sustainable financial success.
  • Manage community deliverables including four events a month, 6 member benefits a year and other responsibilities outlined below.

Duties and Responsibilities Community Engagement & Events

  • Develop community initiatives designed to create connections between members, including member introductions, engaging events and webinars, electronic and print communications, member benefits, etc.
  • Manage events calendar and workflow. Ensure there is a good balance of business, professional development, wellness, sustainability, member appreciation, lifestyle, and other related events.
  • Interact regularly with members and partner with our own TEC member companies to organize events and member benefits on a regular basis.
  • Work closely with local team to drive engagement and ensure the highest level of member satisfaction to support client retention.
  • Manage member community orientation for our new members and welcoming new members during the onboarding process
  • Prepare monthly community engagement report and identify areas to enhance the experience. Work closely with the global team in upgrading the member experience via MyTEC mobile app, Community Forum, email communication to members (newsletters and email campaigns), etc.

Strategic Partnerships & Membership

  • Identify and establish partnerships with external organisations and entities that align with our brand values.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to curate relevant and engaging content, fostering a mutually beneficial relationship that enhances the overall community experience.
  • Proactively engage members to discover and discuss members’ objectives, member’s business and any other needs the member may have. Identify opportunities and act on them to connect members.
  • Create public events and programs to expand TEC Community by bringing in potential clients and partners to our centres.
  • Attend local industry, business and public events as TEC brand ambassador. Develop partnership program with Chamber of Commerce, Business Association, University Alumni, and other Business Communities. Develop B2B Partnership through profit-sharing models where relevant.
  • Expand TEC Community by acquiring Corporate Members, B2B Partnerships and Individual Members under the Community Membership product

Online Engagement & Social Media


  • Prepare monthly event posts or summary and work closely with Marketing Team in publicising TEC Community initiatives, member interviews and maximising brand exposure via TEC’s social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
  • Manage the content calendar of TEC Online Community Forum. Design and implement guidelines and best practices for both online and offline communities to optimize member experience. Exercise discretion in guiding prospective members, including possibly gatekeeping where business may not be in the interests of the greater community.
  • Moderate and facilitate online forum by posting relevant TEC, member-related and industry content, participating in conversations with forum members, and managing negative comments/complaints in a respectful manner that reflects the TEC value system.
  • Manage and develop local member benefits.

• Creation of an exclusive social channel or group to facilitate member engagement and partnerships relevant to the local market (i.e. WeChat, Naver, etc.)

Internal

  • Develops rapport and professional business relationships with fellow colleagues and stakeholders
  • Work closely with Head Office to enhance the member experience following the global Community strategy, monthly event themes, and community membership development.
  • Participate in regular Global Community Meeting and Local Team Meeting. Provide input and regular update on local community progress.

Experience and Requirements

  • Graduate with 4+ years’ experience in community.
  • Event management, client relations, and/or B2B sales experience
  • Passion and understanding for entrepreneurial/ business communities
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills. Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy
  • Outgoing personality – Assistant Manager Community should be comfortable to walk into networking events and introduce themselves and others to clients and guests
  • Exceptionally communicative – fluent in local language. Community Manager must excel at clear, tailored online communication. They embrace and value the differences among different communication platforms, and are eager to explore the best methods for interacting with community members.
  • Writing skills – a background in journalism or experience with writing social media content is a plus
