Responsibilities
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Continuously track and assess engine and transmission performance in real-world conditions. This includes analyzing data from vehicle diagnostics and field reports to identify trends or recurring issues.
- Problem Identification: Diagnose problems or defects that arise in the field. This involves investigating complaints, performing root cause analysis, and determining whether issues are due to design, manufacturing, or operational factors.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that engines and transmissions meet or exceed quality standards. This includes verifying that manufacturing processes are followed correctly and that any quality issues are addressed promptly
- Field Testing: Conduct or oversee testing of engines and transmissions in real-world conditions. This can involve coordinating with test drivers, collecting performance data, and ensuring that tests are representative of actual usage.
- Field Quality analysis
- Perform problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement
- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection
- Develop, execute, and analyze quality reporting measures
- Participate in internal and external quality audits
- Engine component Development
- Validation execution
- Durability parts failure analysis & issue resolution.
- Warranty & Durability concern analysis
- Monitoring market failure in vehicle – Engine
- Root cause analysis and Countermeasure proposal/ Adoption
- Monitoring Countermeasure effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 4+ years' of industry experience
- Strong knowledge of quality tools used in the industry
- Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving
