This partnership allows us to operate across diverse domains, including providing services to one of our key clients a major player in the transportation industry.

About the role:

One of our customers is a leading European transportation company specializing in ferry and maritime services. They are currently seeking to build out their team of Senior Full-Stack Developers (Java/Angular) to drive innovation in software development for the transport and travel industry. The ideal candidate will be a high-performing developer with a forward-thinking mindset, a passion for delivering excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and support software for the transport and travel industry.
  • Ability to acquire a deep understanding of the existing systems functionality and the users needs in order to successfully deliver the needed functionalities.
  • Take responsibility and ownership of the full development cycle including architectural design and testing.
  • Being a good team player within a small and highly productive agile team with a “You build it, you run it” mentality, enthusiasm for excellence, and a strong “hands-on” attitude.
  • Being able to mentor junior developers and help them get up to speed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
  • 5-9 years of professional experience as a Java Developer, with a solid foundation in server-side development and object-oriented analysis and design.
  • Proven experience with Java and server-side development.
  • Expertise in the Spring Framework and Spring Boot is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing microservices and REST API architectures.
  • Client-side web development experience with TypeScript is required; knowledge of Angular or Vue.js is a plus.
  • Cloud experience is essential, including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes. Familiarity with Istio is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including modern tools and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art technologies, including:
  • Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
  • Angular single-page applications with TypeScript.
  • Aurora MySQL database.
  • Microservice architectures on AWS Cloud.
  • Docker Containers, Kubernetes, and Istio for container orchestration.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases; experience with MySQL is advantageous.
