Job Title: Manual Tester (1–2 Years Experience)Location: T. Nagar, Chennai Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Required: 1–2 years Department: Quality Assurance / Software TestingAbout the Role:We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Manual Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing web, mobile, or enterprise applications, with a strong understanding of software development and QA methodologies. You’ll be responsible for identifying bugs, ensuring product quality, and collaborating closely with developers and business analysts to deliver reliable, high-quality software.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on project requirements.Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.Participate in test planning, review meetings, and quality discussions.Verify bug fixes and perform re-testing and sanity checks.Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.1–2 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Life Cycle.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.Experience using test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to perform data validation will be an added advantage.
