Enterprise AI API Platform Engineer Role:The Enterprise AI API Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and operating an enterprise-level AI API platform.This role involves collaboration with various teams to build a scalable, secure and robust API ecosystem using industry-leading technologies.Key Responsibilities:Designing and developing APIs using API management platforms like IBM API Connect, DataPower gateways or equivalent solutions.Defining governance policies for authentication, authorization, rate limits, quotas, versioning and lifecycle management of APIs.Managing the API gateway for routing, transformation, orchestration, protocol mediation and traffic control.Setting up and maintaining the developer portal for publishing APIs, onboarding consumers, documentation and self-service subscription.Monitoring API usage, performance, latency and error metrics, analyzing usage patterns and resolving production issues.Handling API security and resilience by securing back-end integrations, payload validation, threat mitigation and high-availability.Staying up-to-date with API management best practices, emerging protocols and evolving technology capabilities.Requirements:Skills and Qualifications:Proficiency in designing and developing APIs using API management platforms.Experience in defining and implementing governance policies for APIs.Knowledge of API security and resilience measures.Familiarity with industry-leading technologies and tools.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
