Job Title: Automation Engineer (No-Code/Low-Code Expert)
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time
About Us
At The Ladder, we're on a mission to build scalable systems that help brands grow faster, smarter, and more efficiently. A huge part of that vision relies on automation-first thinking — whether it's in marketing, sales, operations, or internal workflows.
We're now looking for an Automation Engineer who can help us design and implement powerful automations using no-code and low-code tools like Make.com, n8n, Zapier, GoHighLevel, while also understanding the backend logic and integrations needed to build efficient, scalable systems.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, build, and maintain automation workflows using tools like Make.com, n8n, Zapier.
- Integrate third-party APIs and build custom connectors where needed.
- Design smart backend workflows that reduce manual effort and increase speed across business units (sales, onboarding, content ops, etc.)
- Develop a centralized automation library — templates, modules, and playbooks for reusability across clients and internal operations.
- Work with stakeholders to map out business processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement automation where it drives the most impact.
- Perform development logic when needed for custom logic, scripts, or advanced integrations.
What We're Looking For
Must-Have:
- Strong hands-on experience with no-code/low-code tools (Make, n8n, Zapier, GoHighLevel, Airtable, etc.)
- Solid understanding of API integrations, webhooks, and data structuring (JSON/XML)
- Ability to analyze workflows and build scalable, modular automation systems
- Attention to detail and structured thinking — you build clean, maintainable systems, not quick hacks
- Strong documentation habits — you'll help build a library of repeatable automation templates
- Knowledge of Python or Java for building custom backend logic when required
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience working with CRMs, marketing automation platforms, or internal dashboards
- Familiarity with SaaS workflows, lead gen pipelines, or content automation stacks
Why Join Us?
- Work on high-impact automations that drive core business outcomes
- Fully remote role with flexible hours
- Build an internal automation systems library from scratch
- Opportunity to scale into a Tech Lead or System Architect role as the company grows
-Be part of a forward-thinking team that embraces AI, automation, and speed
How to Apply
If you're excited about automating the future of work and love building clean, intelligent workflows, send us:
- Your resume
- A short note on your experience with Make/n8n/Zapier (n8n candidates will be prioritised)
- Any automation projects, templates, or use cases you've built (bonus points if you share them)
