Freelance Platform Engineer OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Freelance Platform Engineer to support the deployment, scaling, automation, and ongoing management of OpenShift clusters and cloud infrastructure.This individual will deploy, configure, and manage OpenShift clusters, including version upgrades, patching, scaling, and cluster lifecycle management. They will also deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using the oc CLI, OpenShift Web Console, and Kubernetes-native tooling.Deploy, configure, and manage OpenShift clusters for efficient and reliable operation.Implement CI/CD pipelines integrating tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and related tools to ensure high performance across GCP and OpenShift environments.Troubleshoot platform and application issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver timely resolutions.Implement security best practices, including RBAC, policies, network security, and compliance within Kubernetes/OpenShift.Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration of GCP resources.Collaborate with development, operations, architecture, and security teams to support application readiness and platform optimization.Manage lifecycle operations including control plane/worker node upgrades, certificate renewals, and platform maintenance.Key Responsibilities:Deployment, configuration, and management of OpenShift clusters.Implementation of CI/CD pipelines.Monitoring and alerting configuration.Platform and application issue troubleshooting.Security best practice implementation.Infrastructure as Code development.Collaboration with cross-functional teams.Lifecycle operations management.Requirements:Experience with OpenShift cluster deployment, configuration, and management.Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline implementation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools like Prometheus and Grafana.Ability to troubleshoot platform and application issues.Understanding of security best practices in Kubernetes/OpenShift.Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.Strong collaboration and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
