Senior Mortgage SpecialistAbout the Position:This is a senior-level role requiring 4+ years of experience in mortgage underwriting.The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of US residential mortgages and exposure to underwriting processes & guidelines.Main Responsibilities:Analyze and calculate qualifying income from various tax documents, including 1040s, Schedule E, 1065, 1120, 1120S, K1, transcripts, etc.Evaluate complete loan documents and make approval or denial decisions.Complete review of credit reports to verify trade lines, derogatory accounts, public records, and credit reconciliation.Thorough income calculation – Salaried income, business income, retired other income, and rental income.Review of collateral and property valuation.Assets verification include borrower's bank account statement, retirement accounts, mutual funds, and other investments.Credit analysis based on borrower's Income, Asset, Liability, and Collateral (4C's of Underwriting) to determine the credit worthiness of a customer.Validating and processing the Loan documents.Evaluation of evidence of borrower's willingness and ability to repay the obligation.
