About the Project Manager RoleThis position leads projects from initiation to completion, coordinating activities across commercial, engineering, production, and support functions.The successful candidate will ensure that each project aligns with strategic goals, promotes cross-functional collaboration, and fulfills client and organizational expectations for excellence.ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and Execution:Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, schedule, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.Budget Management:Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability. Identify and address potential cost overruns and implement corrective actions.Change Order Management:Develop processes for managing change orders in projects. Ensure all changes are documented, evaluated for impact, and approved by relevant stakeholders.Client Relations:Serve as primary point of contact for clients. Maintain strong relationships, provide regular updates, and address any concerns or changes in project scope.Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment:Implement quality control processes to ensure work meets industry standards and client specifications. Conduct regular inspections and audits of repair work. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and incidents.Risk Management:Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle. Adjust plans as necessary to address unforeseen issues.Regulatory Compliance:Ensure repair activities comply with local, national, and international maritime regulations and standards.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and final project deliverables. Provide regular status updates to senior management and clients.Continuous Improvement:Conduct post-project review to evaluate project success and identify areas for improvement. Document and implement lessons learned from completed projects to improve processes and outcomes for future projects.
