Advanced ETL and API Testing Specialist

Job OverviewOur organization is seeking an experienced QA Consultant to lead ETL and API testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data pipeline testing, API verification, and a strong understanding of Informatica tools.The successful applicant will have excellent SQL skills, knowledge of data flows, and experience with cloud/on-prem environments.Key Responsibilities:ETL / Data Pipeline Testing (Mandatory)Perform comprehensive end-to-end testing of ETL pipelines across multiple environments.Validate source-to-target mappings, complex data transformations, and change data capture logic.Conduct data completeness, accuracy, and reconciliation testing.API Testing (Mandatory)Test REST/SOAP APIs using Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI.Verify request/response payloads, authentication flows, error handling, and negative scenarios.Collaborate with integration teams to test upstream/downstream interfaces.Validate JSON/XML schema structure, status codes, and pagination logic.MDM Testing (Desirable)Test match/merge rules, survivorship, trust settings, workflows, and golden record creation.Verify MDM SaaS configurations, data cleansing, and DQ rules (if applicable).Perform validation across landing, staging, base, and cross-reference layers.Quality Assurance & ProcessDevelop and implement test plans, cases, data, and maintain quality assurance documentation.Perform functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing.Record defects, track them to closure, and participate in defect triage with the development team.Ensure quality deliverables through QA sign-offs.
