This full-time position requires expertise in product design, focusing on hard goods and home decor. The role emphasizes creating innovative design concepts, utilizing skills in 3D modeling and Adobe Illustrator to deliver exceptional product solutions.Qualifications and SkillsProven experience in product design with a focus on home hardgoods, showcasing a diverse portfolio of successful designs.Strong proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software to create realistic and detailed product visuals.Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator for creating precise design concepts and illustrations that communicate product features effectively.Extensive knowledge of design trends in the home decor industry, with the ability to apply these trends meaningfully in product development.Excellent understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes to ensure practical and scalable product designs.Ability to translate customer insights and market research into innovative design solutions that enhance user experiences.Strong problem-solving skills to address design challenges creatively while maintaining product functionality and aesthetics.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with merchandising, engineering, and marketing teams.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop innovative product concepts for home hardgoods that align with Reliance Retail's quality and aesthetic standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and translate them into compelling design solutions.Create detailed design specifications and prototypes to guide product development and ensure design integrity from concept to final product.Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and competitive products, and incorporate findings into design strategies.Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness of design proposals.Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance design solutions and processes.Maintain organized documentation of all design projects for future reference and compliance with company protocols.Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes to optimize productivity and innovation.
