We are seeking a Fund Operations and Finance professional to join our fund. The ideal candidate will have a background in fund operations and account management within the financial services or venture capital industry.

This position will report directly to the fund  Leadership .

Please note this is not an investment role.

Location:  Mumbai

Salary:  Competitive, based on qualifications

Responsibilities:
Financial Management:  Oversee daily financial operations and assist in preparing fund accounts.
Portfolio Accounting:  Manage and maintain financial records for our diverse investment portfolio, ensuring accuracy and completeness in collaboration with the Fund administrator.
Financial Reporting:  Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
Audit Coordination:  Assist in coordinating with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Tax Compliance:  Support tax planning and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and timely filings.
Vendor Management:  Manage relationships with external service providers, ensuring quality service and cost-effectiveness.
Technology Integration:  Utilize technology to streamline operations and enhance data management and reporting capabilities.
Compliance and Risk Management:  Ensure operational compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, manage risks, and implement best practices.

Requirements:
Qualification:  MBA or a related business degree; Chartered Accountant qualification preferred.
Experience:  5-7 years of relevant experience, ideally within an Accounting Firm, Investment Bank, Alternatives Fund (VC or PE), or a similar role.
Technical Skills:  Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with AIF Cat II accounting principles is a plus.
Regulatory Knowledge:  Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial sector.
