Job Title: IT Infrastructure Discovery Development Architect


Job Overview: The Discovery Architect is responsible for leading the infrastructure, application and its components discovery techniques and processes. This role involves designing and implementing scalable architectures, developing effective strategies, and leveraging advanced discovery techniques to gain deep visibility into the infrastructure and application landscape.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Analyse and develop robust solutions for application and its components discovery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
  • Analyse and develop robust solutions for Infrastructure middleware discovery including Load balancers, clusters, application servers, webserver, database servers etc.
  • Analyse and identify appropriate discovery techniques for various components of the infrastructure
  • Collaborate with development team to implement the discovery solutions
  • Leverage advanced discovery techniques, including those for cloud and container-based applications.
  • Analyse application data to identify dependencies, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
  • Establish methodologies and best practices to enhance visibility and control over the application environment.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of discovery processes, architectures, and findings.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to development team members.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in IT architecture, with a focus on infrastructure and application discovery.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing discovery solutions.
  • Deep expertise of IT infrastructure, application architecture, databases, middleware components,
  • Strong understanding of microservices, containerizations and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Shell, Powershell).
  • Experience in automation tools - Ansible
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with application discovery tools and methodologies.(TADDM, ServiceNow, BMC, Solawinds)
  • Experience in CMDB.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications - ITIL
