Position Overview: The Model Governance and Operational Risk Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for overseeing governance, validation, and compliance of models and End-User-Computing (EUC) applications across the Credit and Bank Operations domains. This role ensures that both operational and model risks are managed in alignment with the organization’s risk management strategy and regulatory requirements. The SME will also play a key role in setting standards for model methods and EUC governance, assisting in the development and implementation of best-in-class frameworks.


Key Responsibilities:


Model and Operational Risk Governance:

  • Lead the governance process for operational risk models and EUCs, including model validation, documentation, and periodic reviews.
  • Ensure models and EUCs comply with internal governance policies and external regulatory standards (e.g., PRA, FCA, Basel III/IV).
  • Set governance standards and processes for EUCs and deterministic quantitative methods (DQMs) to mitigate risks related to these tools.
