We're just getting started.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced technical leader to join our growing team and lead development of the embedded software for our high-speed fiber optical transceiver products. This position will work closely with other transceiver engineering disciplines for requirements analysis, design, implementation, and test of embedded software for our fiber optic transceiver products. You will work with our technical teams and help us to deliver our family of optical transceiver solutions to the market.Key ResponsibilitiesLead software design, development and code reviewsDevelop high-quality C code in a real-time embedded environmentWork with the cross functional teams to design, implement, & test embedded SW solutionsSpecify, design, implement, and test functionality and behaviors of embedded subsystems, including:Communication protocols using I2C/I3C interfacesConfiguration of Microcontrollers, DSPs and Photonics components.State machines for system control, optical calibrations and data flow management.CMIS (Common Management Interface Specification) standards complianceDesign software test strategies and collaborate with verification test teamsProvide technical leadership for software developers and mentor engineers on the teamCommunicate and document software architectures, designs, and test plans.Participate in hands-on hardware bring-up, troubleshooting and failure analysisRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field10+ years of experience in embedded software developmentStrong proficiency in C, C++, and Python programming languagesStrong software engineering fundamentals, such as abstraction, layering, modularization, and interface design, with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable softwareKnowledge of photonics, optical communication systems and network infrastructureExperience with real-time operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS)Experience using common test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, protocol analyzers.Ability to read and understand schematic diagramsWhat we offerCompetitive salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including health insuranceProfessional development opportunities and certification supportAccess to cutting-edge technology and cloud platformsCollaborative work environment with cross-functional teamsLumilens is an equal opportunity employer.
