IT Service Management ExpertThe role of IT Service Management Expert involves the efficient and effective management of IT problems and incidents to minimize their impact on the organization.This position requires identifying the root causes of issues, implementing preventive measures, and ensuring a continuous improvement process within the IT service environment.The position plays a critical part in maintaining the continuity and reliability of IT services.With 4-6 years of experience as an IT Service Management Specialist, this role requires strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills, team collaboration and leadership abilities, and effective communication and stakeholder management.Key responsibilities include:Assessing and classifying incidents to determine their impact and urgencyIdentifying major incidents based on predefined criteriaCoordinating and leading cross-functional incident response teams to address incidents promptlyCommunicating effectively with all relevant stakeholders, including senior management, technical teams, and end-usersProviding timely and accurate updates on the incident's status and resolution progressMonitoring and guiding the incident resolution process, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and that escalation paths are followed when necessaryAnalyzing incident and problem data to identify recurring issuesCollaborating with Incident Management and other relevant teams to prioritize problems based on impact and urgencyConducting thorough root cause analysis to determine the underlying reasons for problemsThis role also involves facilitating problem resolution by providing the necessary resources, information, and support, and implementing workarounds or solutions to prevent the recurrence of incidents. Additionally, the IT Service Management Expert will coordinate with Change Management to ensure that changes are implemented to address the identified problems, and monitor and report on the effectiveness of preventive actions.
