Key responsibilities of this position include overseeing overall security vigilance across bulk terminal facilities, jetty operations, and coal handling plant premises. Ensuring compliance with ISPS Code, port security norms, and statutory guidelines are essential. Additionally, managing security personnel, monitoring critical assets, enforcing protocols for entry/exit of vehicles, materials, and personnel is crucial.Primary Responsibilities:Security Operations & Surveillance: Leads and manages security operations on terminal, CHP, and jetty premises. Coordinates 24x7 surveillance through CCTV systems, access control, and patrolling to ensure security protocols are implemented effectively.Manpower Management: Supervises security teams including guards, supervisors, and contracted security staff. Ensures discipline, grooming, training, and performance monitoring of security staff as per operational needs.Compliance & Documentation: Maintains compliance with ISPS Code and prepares incident reports, MIS, daily/weekly/monthly security reports. Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for effective implementation.Emergency Response & Crisis Management: Responds to emergencies such as fire, medical issues, cargo problems, or security breaches. Conducts risk assessments, mock drills, and vulnerability studies to mitigate potential risks.
