Job Title: Privacy and Legal Compliance SpecialistAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced legal professional to oversee privacy, legal compliance, internal audits, and operational privacy management across our physical campuses. The candidate will report to our Global Data Protection Officer and be responsible for ensuring compliance with Indian and global privacy laws and regulations.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement campus-wide privacy compliance strategies in accordance with Indian data protection laws and relevant international regulations. Conduct regular privacy and data protection audits across all campuses; identify risks, recommend, and track remediation measures. Coordinate with operational teams to ensure robust processes for the compliant handling of personal data and provide legal and strategic advice on privacy issues.Required Skills and Qualifications:• Minimum 4 years of privacy or compliance experience, with exposure to audit and privacy operations. Experience in the education sector or campus operations is strongly preferred.• Familiarity with Indian data privacy laws and global regulatory frameworks.• Law degree (LL.B.) from a recognized university.• CIPP/CIPM certification (or equivalent) preferred.• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.• Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to work across multiple campus environments and stakeholders.
