InstaSupply**Role: Backend Engineer (Node.js)Type: Full-time Contract (4 months)Location: Remote (India)Start Date: ImmediateCompany: InstaSupply (Construction supply + logistics platform)About the ProjectInstaSupply is building a full marketplace ecosystem for construction materials:• Customer app• Supplier app• Driver app• Admin system• Real-time delivery tracking• AI-powered product search• Supplier sync with Shopify, Clover, QuickBooks and moreYou will architect and build the backend that powers the entire platform.What You Will Build• Authentication + user roles (customer, supplier, driver)• Product catalog, categories, inventory APIs• Cart, checkout, pricing logic• Order creation, transitions, and reporting• Driver routing + live location updates• Push notification triggers• Webhooks + third-party integrations• Admin API for supplier approvals• AI search endpoints (with vector DB)• Logs, caching, queue systemsCore Responsibilities• Design and develop secure REST APIs• Build scalable backend architecture from scratch• Integrate Shopify, Clover, QuickBooks and other external APIs• Implement real-time updates (WebSockets or equivalent)• Work with mobile engineer to expose clean endpoints• Ensure performance, reliability, and security• Deploy to cloud (AWS/GCP) with CI/CDRequired Skills• Strong experience in Node.js• Hands-on with MongoDB or PostgreSQL• Experience designing complex API systems• Real-time technologies: WebSockets / Socket.io / Firebase• System architecture, caching, queues (Redis/RabbitMQ)• Experience integrating third-party APIs• Strong debugging & problem-solving skills• Solid Git disciplineBonus Skills• Experience with Shopify / QuickBooks APIs• Knowledge of GraphQL• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone / Qdrant)• DevOps basics (Docker, CI/CD, load balancing)• Background in eCommerce or logistics systemsWhy Join• Build a full product ecosystem end-to-end• Work directly with the founder for fast decisions• No bureaucracy, high ownership• Ship something real in 4 monthsTo ApplySend your:• LinkedIn• GitHub• 2 backend projects or APIs you have built• Brief note on your experience with integrations
