Position: MechanicalSourcing Engineer Qualification: B.E. – Mechanical Engineering Experience: 3–5 years in relevant field Job Description:The Mechanical Sourcing Engineer will be responsible forthe identification, development, and management of suppliers for mechanicalcomponents. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring cost -effectiveprocurement, timely delivery, and quality assurance of mechanical parts andassemblies. Key Responsibilities:Mechanical Component Development & SourcingIdentify, develop, and qualify vendors for mechanical components.Collaborate with design and production teams for component feasibility and manufacturability.Commodity ExpertiseExperience with Sheet Metal, Plastic Parts, Rubber Components, Fasteners, and Labels.Perform cost analysis and estimation for these commodities.Costing & NegotiationConduct supplier cost breakdown analysis.Lead cost negotiations and finalize pricing with suppliers to achieve target cost objectives.Tooling & Mold DevelopmentManage development of tools, dies, and molds, including cost evaluation and supplier coordination.Vendor Development & ManagementIdentify vendors for special processes and ensure supplier capability and capacity.Maintain supplier performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.Compliance & StandardsEnsure adherence to international standards (ISO / AS) related to supply chain and sourcing.Procurement Process & DeliveryExecute purchasing processes and follow up with suppliers to ensure on -time availability of components for production.Communication & LeadershipDemonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills for effective supplier management and cross -functional collaboration. Key Skills Required:Vendor identification & developmentCost analysis and negotiationKnowledge of tooling and mold processesUnderstanding of supply chain and purchasing processesStrong analytical and communication skillsProficiency in MS Office / ERP systems preferred
