Job Description:

We are looking for a Tool Designer who is responsible for the design, development, and documentation of manufacturing tooling for our product line.


Responsibilities:

Analyze product designs and specifications to determine appropriate tooling requirements.

 Design and develop Jigs, Fixtures & Inspection gages for various processes like QC, QA Production and assembly.

 Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed 2D and 3D models of tooling components.

 Perform calculations to determine appropriate tolerances, clearances, and materials for tooling.  Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation, including drawings, bills of materials, and assembly instructions.

 Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and shop floor personnel to ensure smooth production processes.

 Identify opportunities for tooling improvement and cost reduction.


Desired candidate profile:

 Minimum of 1-5years of experience as a Tool Designer or similar role.

 Proven experience in designing and developing tooling for various manufacturing processes.

 Expertise in using CAD software for 2D and 3Dmodelling.

 Strong understanding of Geometric dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Strong communication and collaboration skills.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Attention to detail and a commitment to quality


Qualifications:

 Post Diploma in Tool Design from CITD, NTTF or GTTC/ B Tech in Mechanical Engineering
