Senior Data Engineer PositionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing dimensional data models, building and maintaining robust data pipelines using SQL, Python, and dbt.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing and dimensional modeling, with experience in financial services. They will also have hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or equivalent analytics technologies.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop dimensional data models to support financial reporting and broader analytics.Build and maintain robust data pipelines using SQL, Python, and dbt.Work with Microsoft Fabric OneLake and related technologies.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand financial concepts and translate them into technical solutions.Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across the warehouse.Required Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience in data warehousing and dimensional modelling, ideally within financial services.Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and PowerBI.Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric, or equivalent analytics technologies.Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex problems.Strong understanding of financial concepts and how they translate into data models.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.About the Role:This role is critical to the development and enhancement of our dimensional data models, supporting key financial reporting and analytics across the business. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand complex financial concepts and translate them into scalable, performant data models.
