Job Title:Senior Technical LeadKey ResponsibilitiesMaintains expert knowledge of DB2 version 11/12 on the z/OS platform.Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicates effectively with others to drive business results.Represents the database team in application development projects with business analysts, ensuring alignment and effective implementation of best practices.Promotes DB2 best practices and new features to developers during application design and implementation, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.Mentors junior DBAs and application developers, clearly explaining complex technical issues to business analysts and end users.Demonstrates proficiency in logical and physical data modeling design concepts, solid performance tuning experience, and expertise in table partitioning and maintaining very large databases.Creates and maintains database objects, implements backup and recovery strategies, and sets schedules for database maintenance utilities.Demonstrated knowledge of third-party tools such as Omegamon, IBM DB2 Admin, BMC, CDB, CA, etc., with ability to make decisions, solve problems, and prioritize tasks efficiently.Planned and executed projects to completion, demonstrating personal ownership and proactive issue resolution.Handled multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.QualificationsBachelor's degree required.Several years of experience in a senior DBA role supporting DB2 (version 9 or higher) production systems in a 24x7 business environment.IBM Certification is a plus.BenefitsTo thrive in this role, you will require strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
