Job Role: Consultant - SAP S4 HANA FICO

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Candidate with good functional knowledge in SAP FICO and who can exploit the best use of these modules in the most effective, efficient way. The overall responsibilities will include:
  • Responsible for the Build, troubleshooting Pros vs Cons analysis, “Hands-On“ in configuration – as per the Global design for LSCO
  • Enhance, maintain, and support the design built within the framework of the Global design for LSCO
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across finance, IT, and business units to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment of SAP FICO with organizational goals.
  • Work in initiatives related to SAP FICO implementations, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management to provide updates, escalate issues, and seek approvals for major decisions.

EXPERIENCE and SAP SKILLSET:

  • Production support/enhancements/projects with the ability to scale up and work in implementations
  • Implementation/Global template roll out of FICO module in a large / multi-country setup in SAP ECC/S4
  • Good knowledge of associated S4/Hana FIORI Tiles, Launch Pad, Transactional apps, Personas.
  • Experience in working alongside globally located IT teams
  • Experience in the retail space/understanding of the retail industry will be an advantage
  • Prior project experience is required, including participation in design, testing, and implementation of new system functionality/system process improvements. Prior experience with data conversion and training is preferred.
  • General Ledger
  • New GL functionalities - Parallel ledger/Global Chart of accounts/Country-specific Chart of accounts/Experience in Multiple currency setups/Multi GAAP requirements
  • Tax setup/ reporting / Account determination/Withholding tax setup
  • Financial Closing
  • Working with Interfaces (ALE/IDOC/PI-PO etc)
  • Accounts Receivable /Accounts Payable and Banking
  • Strong experience in Integration with other modules - PTP/OTC
  • Intercompany accounting / reconciliation
  • Payment methods, Payment files
  • Asset accounting Configuration of asset accounting, Chart of Depreciation and Number ranges, Asset creation, Depreciation areas, Depreciation keys, Transfer of Assets (inter and intra-company), Sale of Assets and Impairment of Assets, Unplanned and special depreciations and retirement of assets.
  • Experience in including presentation, spreadsheet, and word processing applications (preferably MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 80% - Design, build / configure and test
  • 10% – Business Relationship Management: Partner with key Executive and Director level leaders.
  • 10% – Incident and Request escalation.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred, like an MBA in Finance / Chartered accountant/Cost accountant/CFA etc.

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Embraces and adapts quickly to changes
  • Ability to quickly learn organizational structure, business strategies, and processes
  • Strong analytical skills. Empowered to make decisions on functional, process, or operational changes including when information is incomplete but sufficient. Must be a team player, must be able to work with colleagues globally in a diverse environment, with good upward and downward management skills.
  • Strong IT skills – general computing and office software skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
