Job OpportunityOverview:A senior database professional is required to oversee the modernization of our database infrastructure, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability throughout the process.Main ResponsibilitiesDatabase Architecture & DesignDevelop comprehensive database models, schemas, and structures for applications.Evaluate and implement designs that meet scalability, performance, and security requirements.Assess and select suitable database technologies.Performance Enhancement & OptimizationMonitor system performance, including query execution, indexing strategies, and storage utilization.Optimize queries, indexing techniques, and storage solutions.Maintain high availability and minimize latency.Database Operations & MaintenanceOversee data backups, restores, patching, replication, and failover procedures.Ensure disaster recovery plans are implemented and regularly tested.Manage data migrations and upgrades effectively.Data Governance & SecurityImplement access control measures, encryption standards, and compliance protocols.Guarantee data integrity, consistency, and auditability across all systems.Leadership & CollaborationLead a team of database administrators, data engineers, or developers.Collaborate with application architects, project managers, and other technical leaders.Communicate risks, design decisions, and strategic plans to stakeholders effectively.Cloud & Modernization InitiativesIn modern IT environments, manage cloud database services efficiently.Plan and execute database modernization efforts, such as migrating from on-premises to cloud-based infrastructure.Oversee the adoption of managed services, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.About This Role:This position demands exceptional leadership skills, in-depth technical knowledge, and experience in managing complex database systems.
