Site Civil Engineer Job DescriptionThe primary function of this position is to oversee the construction and management of site operations for highway/road projects. The Site Civil Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of site management are executed according to drawings, specifications, and guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Surveying & Level Management:Conduct thorough surveying and leveling of existing roads.Maintain accurate levels before and after each construction layer.Prepare and maintain level books, chainage-wise data, and reference benchmarks for all site sections.Site Supervision & Project Management:Daily site supervision of construction activities to ensure smooth execution.Assist project engineers in day-to-day project planning, monitoring, and reporting.Maintain strict compliance with drawings, MoRTH/IRC specifications, and NHAI guidelines.Measurement & Reporting:Perform daily measurements of works executed.Record all measurements in level books and measurement registers.Prepare and update Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and forward them to the Project Manager.Inspection & Documentation:Raise RFIs (Requests for Inspection) for each layer/activity.Maintain records of approvals, drawings, and inspection reports for submission to AE/NHAI.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field.Minimum 2–5 years of experience in highway/road construction (preferably NHAI or MoRTH projects).
