The Role:  The position requires a candidate to build and lead a new research and knowledge managementvertical within the Foundation, as it embarks on a new strategy operating as an independent philanthropy. Thecandidate will be required to drive all research and knowledge management initiatives of the Foundation driven around its core thematic focus ie, urban climate change. The candidate will play an integral role in assisting the Foundation towards building a robust knowledge management and dissemination vertical. This is a fulltime, workfrom office position.
Key Responsibilities:                                                                                                           ·        Conduct comprehensive secondary research and analysis, to support the Programme team to support strategicdecision-making and pre-assessment of key projects and their performance over time.
·        Collaborate with the Foundation’s grantee partners and programme team to plan and undertake knowledgedisseminations, seminars and FGDs, in partnership with the Communications team.
·        Produce regular, quality reports/papers/blogs to communicate sector knowledge to internal and external stakeholders, in partnership with the Communications team.
·        Hold regular internal sessions to update the knowledge and skill sets of the internal team on all emerging urban climate change topics.
·        Create and build up a knowledge repository on the Foundation’s website.
·        Participate in relevant seminars and conferences to enhance knowledge and eventually enhance the Foundation’s brand as a thought leader in his thematic focus areas.
·        Stay updated on evolving regulations, best practices and emerging trends, incorporating them intoorganizational knowledge building.
Required experience & competencies:
·        A Postgraduate in economics / finance / business OR environment C sustainability practices
·        Specialized work experience in research and knowledge management revolving around environment, sustainability, climate change, urban governance, waste management or related areas is preferred
·        8-10 years of work experience in research with a consulting organization or a research focused non-profitorganization in the development sector (Ideally, with some experience and knowledge of Environment/Climatechange related topics)
·        Strong data analysis and quantitative skills, with expertise in data interpretation and visualization
·        Good written and verbal English communication skills
·        High levels of integrity and empathy in handling professional relationships C team members
About H T Parekh Foundation:
The H T Parekh Foundation was established in 2012, to commemorate the birth centenary of Mr H. T. Parekh, the visionary Founder and Chairman of erstwhile HDFC Limited (HDFC). HDFC has since merged with HDFC Bank w.e.f. 1.7.2023.
The Foundation commenced operations in 2014. In it’s first decade of giving, it operated as the philanthropic arm of HDFC, implementing HDFC’s Corporate Social Responsibility mandate. Since the merger in mid-2023, the Foundationhas transitioned to being an independent, domestic philanthropy. As part of this transition, we have developed a new strategy and approach towards our giving. This new thematic area entitled U.R.B.A.N. (Urban ResilienceBuilding Action Network), is intended to be the flagship programme of the Foundation, and will form the basis of ourwork and giving over the next decade.
