L2 engineers – General L2 engineers capable of being on resolver group of broad spectrum of equipment and platform troubleshooting.
These support engineers will help resolve incidents and complete service tickets on the following technologies:
Hardware – Server, Storage, SAN switches, Network Switches, etc.Operating Systems – Microsoft Windows Server & Red Hat Enterprise LinuxVirtualization – VMware, Hyper-VPatch Management – Microsoft and Red Hat Linux, Firmware of HardwareBackup – Commvault and Veeam backupOthers – Microsoft Active Directory, File services, GPO, NFS, etc.
Services availed by BUs from this support team The primary responsibility of these engineers will be to complete incidents and requests of customers that have availed support services from DCM perspective. The resolution shall be categorized as:
First Response – Remote whenever possible and preferred
Ticket transfer and tracking to closure – To L2+ SME team member or OEM along with tracking to closure
Onsite visit – For disconnected sites or during incidents where remote troubleshooting is not possible, this support team will visit the customer site and provide support for incidents
Part of NOC resolver group – During times when any member is not working on an active incident ticket, they will assist MSO (NOC) customers by being part of the common resolver group.
Incidents allocated to this team shall be through Service Desk at Value Point (other than NOC incidents as part of the resolver group).
