Cloud ProfessionalThe Cloud Engineer will be part of a major Insurance client's Data Platform team. They will work with different stakeholders to architect and build the EDP application platform to support internal data teams in onboarding, provisioning data in the Data Cloud.The application will be designed using Micro Services Architecture to support various workloads like data marts, data warehouses, AI/ML. The engineer will actively participate in brainstorming sessions for improvement opportunities and take them to completion.A suitable candidate should have 4+ years of experience in developing enterprise-level applications and possess a proactive attitude. They should be able to deal with ambiguity and have experience in life insurance, although this is not mandatory.Superior analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and prepare client-ready deliverables with minimal supervisionGood communication skills for client interactionThe engineer will require experience in designing, implementing, and testing Python applications with an understanding of object-oriented programming, multi-tier architecture, parallel/multi-threaded programming. Programming experience with Python is essential, while Java/Scala is desirable.They will also need experience with AWS technologies, including AppSync, Lambda, Step Functions, Event Bridge. Solid experience with AWS services such as CloudFormation, S3, Glue, EMR/Spark, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, KMS, SM etc. is required.Knowledge of modern cloud-native data warehouses, i.e., AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or Azure Synapse Analytics, is desired. Experience implementing metadata solutions leveraging AWS non-relational data solutions such as ElastiCache and DynamoDB is necessary.Experience working on Agile projects and holding an AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Big Data Certification is preferred. The engineer should be able to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and be willing to learn new skills and implement new technologies.
