Job Title: Assistant Professor - Foundation Education Background: Postgraduate degree in Design & Technology or a related discipline. Additional qualifications in multi-disciplinary design will be an advantage. Industry Experience Required: Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience in multi-disciplinary design roles. Strong exposure to applied industry practices and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities (KRAs): Design and teach subjects/modules/courses, including preparation and regular revision of course materials (syllabi, assignments, handouts, and teaching aids). Conduct and supervise tutorials, workshops, practical sessions, and lab work. Design and administer assessment briefs; evaluate student work and provide timely, constructive formative and summative feedback. Facilitate and encourage student engagement on online and face-to-face learning platforms. Identify and integrate industry connections, case studies, and guest interactions within the curriculum. Drive student achievement and engagement through participation in events, exhibitions, competitions (national/international), and industry projects. Contribute to the continuous improvement of academic quality standards and align with institutional policies and regulatory requirements. Key Competencies: Strong knowledge and appreciation of multicultural and global design perspectives relevant to 21st-century creative practice. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills , with the ability to engage effectively with individuals and groups. Proficiency in delivering content through both in-person and digital platforms . Commitment to academic quality assurance, enhancement, and continuous improvement . Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a constructive and solutions-oriented approach.
