Job description


Role & responsibilities

  • Play a key role in developing our Design System, serving designers and engineers across the entire organization.
  • Implement concepts, user experiences, and user interfaces in our design system.
  • Collaborate closely with the designers in your team and support them in finding the best solution for every component.
  • Teach us what we don't know and how you want to improve our Design System Platform to cater towards the needs of designers and engineers.
  • Take ownership of initiatives in your team from concept to delivery.
  • Be a technical mentor and help the team grow.


Preferred candidate profile

You have at least 8+ years of strong hands-on of experience as a iOS engineer within a design system team in a fast-paced scale-up company.

Experience working in a cross-functional team together with product management, designers and engineers.

Deep understanding of iOS, Swift, Xcode.

Experience working with SwiftUI is a must.

Ability to learn quickly, iterate, unblock yourself, and persist until the right problem is solved.

You understand and live agile workflows and lean principles in your day-today work.

Experience working on cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.

Experience working with third-party system APIs and web services.

Fluent communication skills in written and verbal English.

Flexibility to work in ambiguous situations, creating clarity without direction and defining software products from the ground up.

You know how to keep a healthy work-life balance.


We'd Particularly Love It If

You have experience with open source or standards development and community building.

Experience in building android and/or ios components.

You have worked in the past with GO (and gomobile).

Experience working with and contributing to Design Systems.

Ability to understand common UX patterns and identify and mitigate UX design risks early in development.

Able to demonstrate knowledge of front-end system design, interaction with backend APIs, and performance/security considerations.

You can demonstrate knowledge of data structures, algorithms and problem-solving skills.

You have an eye for great user experiences (UX) and user interfaces.
