Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Company: RemotohireLocation: Pune, India (Remote)Job Type: Full-time · Mid/Senior LevelAbout the RoleWe're hiring a Data Engineer to help build and scale a centralized data foundation that brings together finance, operations, and product data. You will be responsible for designing reliable pipelines, shaping analytics-ready datasets, managing modern lakehouse architectures, and enabling reporting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making across teams.Key Responsibilities* Design and support API-based data ingestion pipelines (QBO, Carta, Forcastr, HRIS, SaaS platforms).* Build reusable ingestion and processing frameworks using Python, PySpark, Databricks, AWS Glue/EMR.* Transform and integrate financial, operational, and product data into curated analytics layers.* Operate and enhance data lakehouse and warehouse systems (Delta Lake, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).* Establish data quality standards, monitoring, and validation processes.* Develop both batch and real-time pipelines using tools like Kafka, Kinesis, and EventBridge.* Orchestrate ETL/ELT pipelines with Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or Step Functions.* Maintain data metadata, catalogs, and lineage documentation (Glue Catalog, Unity Catalog, dbt docs).Required Skills* Strong hands-on experience with Python and PySpark.* Practical experience across the AWS data ecosystem (S3, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, Step Functions, IAM).* Experience working with Databricks or comparable Spark-based platforms.* Proficiency with ETL/ELT orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Meltano).* Advanced SQL skills with experience in dimensional and star schema modeling.* Experience with cloud data warehouses and lakehouse technologies (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Delta Lake).* Solid understanding of streaming vs. batch processing architectures.* Experience preparing datasets for BI and analytics tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Mode).Nice-to-Have* Familiarity with financial and accounting systems (QBO, NetSuite, Carta, Forcastr, Brex, Ramp).* Experience using dbt for data transformations and semantic layers.* Exposure to CDC, micro-batch processing, and real-time ingestion patterns.* Infrastructure automation experience (Terraform, CDK, Pulumi).* Understanding of SaaS KPIs, FP&A processes, and analytics workflows.* Background in analytics engineering or ML-driven data pipelines.* Experience supporting multi-tenant SaaS data environments.What We Offer* Fully remote role with flexible work setup.* Competitive compensation based on skills and experience.* Opportunity to work with modern data technologies at scale.* Collaborative, growth-focused engineering culture.* Career development and leadership growth opportunities.How to ApplySubmit your application on with your updated resume.
