Visit our website.Job OverviewThe Fire Engineer position at Reliance Industries Limited is a full-time role based in Bharuch. This role is crucial in ensuring fire safety standards and implementing advanced fire protection measures within our facilities. The successful candidate will use specialized skills to conduct fire dynamics simulations, ensure NFPA standards compliance, and perform comprehensive fire risk assessments. Applicants are expected to bring innovation and expertise in fire safety systems and analysis.Job Accountability: Immediate response to all emergency calls including mock drills and mobilization of required resources to mitigate the emergency.Develop/Evaluate the Risk Assessment (RA) sheet for the specific job and make necessary modifications therein,Provide necessary guidance to shift fire executive during routine shift activities and during emergency operations.Participate in Risk Assessment sessions at plant level for all critical jobs and ensure adequate fire prevention measures during such activities in the plant including plant turnaroundsCarryout resource planning and allocationExhibit Incident Command & Control technique for emergency control & mitigation.Impart training of Shift fire personnel and othersEnsure availability of all firefighting equipment/systems and communication systems on ready to use basis.Assure reliability/performance of fire vehicles on fire vehicles and jeeps.Suggest & ensure corrective measures based on the incident analysis.Ensure material availability and inventory management of charged store at all fire stations.Carryout Fire safety inspection round of the plantCarryout preliminary investigation all incidents and release Turnout report on incidentOrganize and conduct daily fire drills and PTEnsure the compliance of all scheduled activities in his shift at all fire stationsAssist site fire prevention initiativesEnsure compliance with fire safety standards, procedures, practices and checklistMaintain Log book, Occurrence book and other shift related documentation.Skill:Recognise the potential escalations/hidden hazards and Apply Fire Fighting Strategies for a given process, tank farm or Marine emergency scenario as applicable to area of workJudge & Guide the emergency response team for effective termination of emergenciesAbility to liase with various emergency responders and incident commander for formulating the attack PlanApplication and make use of different firefighting equipment, consumables, systems and other resources for effective emergency ManagementHigh level of proficiency in Fire Safety ManagementPlanning and decision making abilityEducation : B.E. - Fire EngineeringExperience : Over 3 years of relevant work experience for engineering graduate / Over 12 years of relevant work experience for Station fire officer or Grad I / Over 16 years of relevant post qualification experience for Sub officer
