Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to work closely with our revenue cycle manager and drive financial performance through strategic billing practices. This role combines traditional healthcare billing expertise with cutting-edge AI technology to optimize claim processing, reduce denials, and maximize reimbursements across our healthcare network.Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Cycle LeadershipOversee end-to-end medical billing operations, from patient registration through final payment collectionManage billing team performance and productivity metrics, ensuring accuracy rates exceed 98%Develop and implement billing policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and best practicesMonitor key performance indicators including days in A/R, collection rates, and denial percentagesAI-Enhanced OperationsCollaborate with our AI development team to optimize automated billing workflows and predictive analyticsLeverage machine learning tools to identify billing patterns, predict claim outcomes, and prevent denialsTrain staff on AI-powered billing platforms and ensure seamless integration with existing systemsAnalyze AI-generated reports to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reductionCompliance and Quality AssuranceMaintain current knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelinesConduct regular audits of billing practices and implement corrective action plansStay updated on healthcare regulation changes and adjust processes accordinglyTeam ManagementLead, mentor, and develop a team of billing specialists and coding professionalsConduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing training, and support career developmentFoster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvementRequired QualificationsTechnical SkillsProficiency with major practice management systems (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, or similar)Advanced knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and revenue cycle management platformsStrong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data analysis toolsFamiliarity with AI/ML applications in healthcare preferredCore CompetenciesDeep understanding of insurance verification, authorization, and claims processingProven track record of improving billing performance metrics and reducing A/R daysStrong leadership and team development capabilitiesExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environmentProfessional GrowthOpportunity to work at the forefront of AI innovation in healthcareAccess to cutting-edge technology and continuous learning resourcesCareer advancement opportunities within a rapidly growing organizationConference attendance and certification maintenance supportHow to ApplySend us your portfolio/ resume at hr@combinehealth.ai along with these details:How many years of billing experience do you haveWhat are some mistakes related to your work you have done in past and how did you overcomeWhy do you want to join CombineHealth
