**DevOps/Platform Engineer Role Summary**We are seeking an exceptional DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud infrastructure that is highly available, secure, and cost-efficient.You will also be expected to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable fast and reliable deployments across multiple environments.An ideal candidate will have strong experience with major cloud platforms and serverless architectures.Job ResponsibilitiesCloud Infrastructure Design: Own and evolve our cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and cost efficiency.CICD Pipeline Management: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable fast and reliable deployments across multiple environments.Infrastructure as Code: Implement infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure reproducible, version-controlled infrastructure.Monitoring and Observability: Build and improve monitoring, alerting, and observability systems to detect and resolve issues quickly.Cost Optimization: Optimize cloud costs through right-sizing, reserved capacity planning, and architectural improvements.Security Controls: Implement and maintain security controls including network isolation, secrets management, and access policies.Multi-region Deployment: Support multi-region deployment strategies for improved latency and disaster recovery.Collaboration: Collaborate with backend engineers to optimize serverless architectures and event-driven systems.Operational Runbooks: Establish and document operational runbooks and incident response procedures.RequirementsExperience: 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.Cloud Experience: Strong experience with major cloud platforms and serverless architectures.Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar).CICD Pipeline Management: Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).Networking Concepts: Solid understanding of networking concepts: VPCs, subnets, load balancing, DNS.Scripting: Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar languages.Security: Understanding of security best practices for cloud infrastructure.Remote Work: Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.Preferred SkillsServerless Architectures: Experience with serverless architectures at scale (Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, or equivalents).NoSQL Databases: Familiarity with NoSQL databases and their operational characteristics.Disaster Recovery: Experience implementing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.Cost Optimization: Background in cost optimization for cloud infrastructure.Container Orchestration: Experience with container orchestration (ECS, Kubernetes) as a complement to serverless.Compliance: Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC2, GDPR) and their infrastructure implications.ML/AI Workloads: Experience supporting ML/AI workloads and batch processing systems.Documentation: Strong documentation skills and ability to create operational runbooks.
