Gynaecologist

Job Summary:A Gynecologist specializes in women's reproductive health, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders affecting the female reproductive system. The role may also include obstetrics — providing prenatal, childbirth, and postnatal care. The Gynecologist ensures the highest standard of patient care through clinical expertise, patient education, and compassionate communication.Key Responsibilities:Conduct routine and specialized gynecological exams, including Pap smears, breast exams, and pelvic exams.Diagnose and treat reproductive system disorders such as menstrual irregularities, infertility, endometriosis, infections, and cancers.Provide prenatal, antenatal, and postnatal care to pregnant patients.Perform surgical procedures such as cesarean sections, hysterectomies, tubal ligations, and laparoscopic surgeries.Offer family planning, contraceptive counseling, and menopause management.Interpret diagnostic tests including ultrasounds, biopsies, and blood tests.Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals to deliver integrated care.Educate patients on reproductive health, hygiene, and preventive care.Stay updated on advancements in gynecology and obstetrics through continuing education and research.Qualifications and Requirements:Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.Residency: Completion of a 4-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.Licensure: Valid medical license and board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (or eligibility).Experience: Clinical experience in women's health, surgery, and obstetric care preferred.Skills:Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.Excellent communication and patient-care abilities.Compassionate and ethical approach to medicine.Ability to work under pressure, especially during emergencies and deliveries.Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.Work Environment:Hospitals, maternity centers, private clinics, or healthcare organizations.May include on-call duties, night shifts, and weekend rotations.Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
