Job Description: Record to Report (R2R) Specialist

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Record to Report (R2R) Specialist to join our finance team in Mohali. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting processes, with a focus on end-to-end R2R activities. As an R2R Specialist, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliation activities, and supporting audits. You will also collaborate with other teams to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Month-end & Year-end Closing:
• Assist in the end-to-end month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting of financial data.
• Journal Entries & Adjustments:
• Process and review journal entries, post necessary adjustments, and ensure proper documentation for financial reporting.
• Account Reconciliation:
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and other general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Financial Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
• Compliance & Controls:
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and SOX compliance during financial reporting processes.
• Variance Analysis:
• Perform variance analysis and report on key financial trends, explaining discrepancies and providing insights to management.
• Audit Support:
• Support external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving audit queries related to R2R activities.
• Continuous Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in R2R and contribute to the implementation of automation or efficiency improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent is a plus).
• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Record to Report (R2R) role, with strong exposure to financial accounting and reporting processes.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced level), experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is highly preferred.
• Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting standards.
• Analytical Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform financial analysis and make data-driven decisions.
• Communication Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and management.
