Job OverviewWe seek an accomplished Scientific Visualizer to craft compelling visual narratives that distill complex scientific concepts into clear, engaging stories.The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of scientific principles and a keen eye for aesthetics, able to communicate intricate ideas through bespoke visuals.This role demands exceptional creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to bring scientific visions to life.An impressive portfolio showcasing expertise in graphical abstracts, scientific illustrations, infographics, posters, and other visual materials is essential.Strong organizational skills and experience working with clients across multiple accounts are highly valued.ResponsibilitiesCreate high-quality, visually appealing materials, including scientific illustrations, graphical abstracts, journal cover images, infographics, posters, brochures, and more.Develop comprehensive storyboards outlining the visual narrative and ensuring alignment with client objectives.Work closely with researchers, writers, and clients to refine and finalize the visual representation, ensuring seamless communication and timely delivery.Review peers' and freelancers' outputs to guarantee adherence to client expectations and quality standards.Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with industry trends, software, and technologies.QualificationsBachelor's or PhD degree in STEM fields such as Biology, Biotechnology, Medicine, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering.A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing, with a proven track record of communicating complex research into engaging visuals.Advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop) and familiarity with Blender and 3D design are highly desirable.Understanding of the scientific publishing and science communication landscape is crucial.
