Job Description:A Dispatch Rolling Mill job involves coordinating and overseeing the dispatch of finished steel products from a rolling mill, ensuring efficient logistics and timely delivery to customers, while also managing inventory and ensuring compliance with specifications. Here's a more detailed breakdown of the responsibilities and requirements:Key Responsibilities:Dispatch Planning and Coordination:Receive and process dispatch orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with customer area owners during shift operations to get dispatch plans. Plan and optimize dispatch schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery. Monitor the status of dispatched vehicles and shipments. Address any issues or delays that may arise during the dispatch process. Inventory Management:Maintain accurate records of finished steel products in inventory. Ensure sufficient stock levels to meet customer demand. Identify and address any discrepancies or shortages in inventory. Quality Control and Compliance:Ensure that dispatched products meet quality standards and specifications. Verify compliance with stainless steel grades and other material specifications. Handle supplier inspection and in-house inspection activities. Communication and Customer Service:Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and delivery schedules. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to dispatch. Maintain clear and accurate records of all dispatch activities. Logistics and Transportation:Arrange for the transportation of finished steel products to customers. Select appropriate transportation methods and carriers. Ensure that all shipments are properly documented and labeled. Skills and Qualifications:Experience:Experience in dispatch/logistics in the rolling mill or TMT steel industry is highly desirable. Experience in managing inventory and coordinating shipments. Knowledge:Familiarity with steel products, rolling mill processes, and logistics procedures. Knowledge of quality control standards and material specifications. Skills:Strong organizational and planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
