As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in leading the transformation of our mainframe systems to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This complex undertaking requires a deep understanding of high-performance systems and collaboration with diverse teams to establish consistent frameworks and best practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving reliability and scalability across the transformation journey.The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. You will be responsible for defining the end-to-end performance engineering strategy, ensuring airline applications meet stringent response time service-level agreements (SLAs), and architecting scalable and high-performing cloud-native solutions.Your responsibilities will also include working closely with agile teams, integrating performance best practices into their delivery lifecycle, and conducting regular sprint-level reviews to ensure performance benchmarks are consistently achieved. Additionally, you will design, implement, and standardize the use of performance testing and monitoring frameworks, utilizing tools such as AppDynamics, JMeter, LoadRunner, and GCP-native Application Performance Monitoring (APM).You will be accountable for establishing governance models and performance assessment frameworks to ensure uniform quality across all sprints, defining and implementing verification protocols and sprint-level performance gates, and promoting 'shift-left' testing culture by embedding performance validation early in the development cycle.Ultimately, your goal will be to lead the validation process between mainframe and GCP systems, ensuring performance parity and SLA compliance, and planning, executing, and monitoring performance during the parallel run phase to guarantee business continuity.This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to take on a challenging role and make a significant impact on our organization's success.
