Senior Data Engineer – Biopharma Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team and support Pre-Clinical and Clinical data initiatives for a US-based pharmaceutical organization.This role requires strong biopharma domain expertise, advanced Python skills, and hands-on experience building cloud-scale data platforms that support bioinformatics, research, and clinical analytics.Key Responsibilities:Build and manage scalable data pipelines on AWS for biopharma, bioinformatics, and clinical datasets.Design and optimize analytical data models using Amazon Redshift and complex SQL.Act as a Python expert to develop data transformation, validation, and automation frameworks.Integrate data from pre-clinical, clinical, and research systems into analytics-ready datasets.Collaborate with bioinformatics scientists, clinical teams, and data science stakeholders.Required Skills:5+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Analytics Engineering.Strong experience with AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, IAM).Advanced SQL expertise for analytical and large-scale datasets.Python expert with experience in data pipelines and automation.Mandatory Biopharma / Life Sciences domain experience.Hands-on exposure to Pre-Clinical and Clinical data.Preferred Skills:Bioinformatics domain knowledge (-omics [Genomics, Transcriptomics, Proteomics, Metabolomics, Epigenomics], clinical trials, translational research).Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).Familiarity with regulated environments and data validation practices.About this RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative data solutions for the biopharma industry.What You'll NeedTo succeed in this role, you will need:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.Expertise in Python programming language.Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
