Manual QA Tester Job DescriptionPosition Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester with 1–2 years of experience to join our quality assurance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous manual testing and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform manual testing on web, mobile, and desktop applications to identify and report defects.
  • Design, execute, and maintain detailed test cases, test scripts, and test plans based on product requirements and user stories.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Conduct regression, functional, integration, and system testing.
  • Ensure software meets functional and user experience requirements through thorough exploratory testing.
  • Provide detailed test reports and communicate findings to relevant teams.
  • Assist in defining QA processes and improving existing workflows.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 1–2 years in manual software testing, with a solid understanding of QA methodologies.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Basic understanding of SQL and ability to query databases for testing purposes.
  • Experience in testing APIs using tools like Postman is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Knowledge:
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Awareness of common software bugs and testing challenges.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Java, or any other programming language.
  • Exposure to automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Appium (though manual testing is the primary focus).
  • Experience in usability testing or accessibility testing.
