Senior GIS Business AnalystWe are seeking an experienced Senior GIS Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and business analysis, with excellent communication and project management skills.This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs, pain points, and expectations. You will gather and analyze business requirements, conduct stakeholder workshops and interviews, document functional and non-functional requirements, liaise between technical teams and business users, design GIS workflows and business processes, assist in GIS solution design, support GIS data analysis and reporting, perform user acceptance testing, support change management and user training, monitor project progress and ensure deliverables, ensure data governance and standards compliance, evaluate and recommend GIS tools and technologies, conduct market or industry research, and support integration with enterprise systems.The successful candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in GIS and Remote Sensing (Geo-Informatics), a Master's degree in Engineering or Technology (M.E/M.Tech) with additional MBA degree being an added advantage.Gather and Analyze Business Requirements: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs, pain points, and expectations. Translate these into clearly defined GIS-based requirements.Conduct Stakeholder Workshops and Interviews: Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and interviews with end-users, domain experts, and technical teams to gather insights and requirements for GIS solutions.Document Functional and Non-Functional Requirements: Prepare business requirement documents (BRD), functional requirement specifications (FRS), user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure clarity and alignment between business and GIS teams.Liaise Between Technical Teams and Business Users: Function as a bridge between GIS developers, data analysts, and business users. Ensure the technical team understands the business context, and the business team understands the technical solution.Design GIS Workflows and Business Processes: Develop or optimize spatial workflows that align with business processes. Create process maps, use-case diagrams, and workflow charts using tools like Visio or Lucid chart.
