About the Job:

This role focuses on leading and supporting engineering projects, including new product development, product improvements, and standardization efforts. You’ll act as a technical point of contact, manage project schedules, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Additionally, you’ll mentor junior engineers, review technical documents, and collaborate with teams to solve complex technical challenges in subsea production systems


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned work packages and lead communication efforts.
  • Develop product designs, geometry standards, and product qualification requirements.
  • Review and approve part reports, drawings, engineering specifications, and standards.
  • Define product quality, material, welding, and NDE (Non-Destructive Evaluation) requirements.
  • Manage project schedules and deliverables, providing regular progress updates to management.
  • Mentor and guide Product Engineers and Designers, ensuring collaboration and project success.
  • Provide technical assistance to vendors and build strong working relationships.
  • Work within industry standards related to subsea production systems, ensuring compliance and innovative problem-solving.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 6 years of experience in subsea production system engineering (4 years for Master’s/PhD candidates).
  • Strong knowledge of subsea systems and experience with industry codes such as ASME, API, NORSOK, and DNV.
  • Experience in reviewing, approving engineering designs, calculations, FEA/structural analysis.
  • Proficiency in design analysis (hoop stress, fatigue, buckling) and knowledge of manufacturing processes (forging, cladding, welding).
  • Exposure to welding (ASME IX, API 1104), NDE practices (UT, PAUT, PT, RT, MPI per ASME V).
  • Ability to manage projects within schedule and budget, with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to coach and mentor others.
